Paste names with one student per line, written Last, First, or choose a CSV file. A CSV with Period, Last Name and First Name columns sets up every period at once.
How the points are split across parts changes from question to question, so set it to match the scoring guidelines you're using. Each point gets its own toggle.
Everything stays in this browser: your rosters, the PDFs you load and the scores you enter are not uploaded anywhere. Export a CSV when you're done grading.
Choose your AP course (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science) and the question you're grading at the top. Each question comes with its point split already set (A, B, C …). If your question splits its points differently, click Edit parts and match it to your scoring guidelines.
Easiest: one CSV for all your classes, with a header row and these columns. You can export something like this from your gradebook or student information system.
Period,Last Name,First Name P1,Curie,Marie P1,Feynman,Richard P3,Franklin,Rosalind P3,Hopper,Grace
Click Edit roster (or choose + Add period… in the period list), then Choose file…. Every period in the file is created at once. Other accepted layouts:
Curie, Marie).Column names aren't case-sensitive, and "Class" or "Section" also work for the period. Duplicate names in the same period are dropped.
Last First - anything.pdf, for example Curie Marie - Q2.pdf or Feynman, Richard - FRQ.pdf. "First Last" also works. Everything after the first " - " is ignored.Pick one period at the top to see only that class's PDFs (plus any not matched to a student yet), or choose All periods to grade a mix of classes, grouped by period.
Click the Scoring guide tab above the PDF and upload the College Board scoring guidelines (PDF or image) for the question. Press G to flip between the student's work and the guide. One guide is saved per question.
If the papers have already been scored somewhere else (by an AI grader like Claude, by students grading themselves, or by a TA or co-grader), click Import scores. The imported points fill in for each student as a starting point, so you only check, edit and confirm (press Enter). The CSV needs a header row:
Period,Student,Question,Points earned,Comment P1,"Curie, Marie",Q2,A1 A3 B1 B4 C1 C2 C3 D1,"A: Fw shorter than Fg at t2. B: ..." P3,"Franklin, Rosalind",Q2,A1 A2 A3 B1 C1 D1 D2,
Q1, Q2 …, a number, or for physics the type (MR, TBR, LAB, QQT). Add a Subject column (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, APES) if the file covers more than one course; otherwise the course selected at the top is used.B2 is the second point of Part B). If you only have part totals, use columns named A, B, C … instead (e.g. A = 3, B = 2); those fill the first boxes of each part.A: … B: … C: … and each part's note appears under that part.Download CSV saves every student's points, part scores and totals, sorted by period. Open in Google Sheets copies the same table and opens a blank Google Sheet; click cell A1 and paste.
